Today's cigar is the CAO LX2 toro in a 6x50 vitola. The CAO LX2 features a Nicaraguan wrapper, a Honduran binder with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. The LX2 features tons of ligero. The LX2 has an earthy tobacco core while featuring a peppery spice with a slight sweetness on the finish. I chose this to be today's cigar based off of where it's made and what occurred on this day in 1977. Nashville, TN is where the CAO factory is located. On the Oct 20th 1977 3 members and 1 roadie of Lynyrd Skynyrd were tragically killed in an airplane crash. Lynyrd Skynyrd helped develop not only southern rock but rock in general. The crash almost ended Lynyrd Skynyrd but they came back and picked up right where they left off as one of the greatest rock bands in history.
