Today's cigar is the SWAG Fierce in a 6x52 torpedo vitola. SWAG is made by Oliveros and comes out of the Dominican Republic. This cigar features a Dominican habano ligero wrapper and sports ligero fillers. Upon this one would expect a very strong cigar as ligero is the highest primings from the tobacco plant which are the strongest. This cigar starts light on the pepper and features woody and earthy notes that develops into a creamy leathery flavors that lasts throughout. I chose this cigar for today based off of what happened on this day in 1989. Wayne Gretzky became the all time leading NHL goal scorer. A record he still holds to this day as well as the all time assists leader. The most prolific hockey player of all time had swagger before anybody knew what swagger was. No one was more intimidating when they skated onto the ice. Gretzky didn't do it by beating up players or being a dirty player it was pure skill and confidence. If it wasn't for players like Gretzky hockey wouldn't be where near where it is today.
