Today brings us the Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997 in a 5x50 Robusto vitola. Macanudo is one the most well known brands in the industry. In 2010 they released the Vintage Maduro 1997. It features a 13yr old Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, with a Honduran binder and fillers from the Dominican, Nicaragua and Brazil. It features a stainless steel cigar band that is not only stunning but also lets the buyer know if the cigar has been properly humidified by how tight or loose it is on the cigar. It has flavors of earth, coffee, chocolate, spice and wood with a classic maduro sweetness to it. I featured this today as a blind grab out of the humidor.
