Today brings us the Morro Castle Toro in a 6x52 vitola. Morro Castle was an old Cuban brand that fell to the wayside but was recently resurrected by AJ Fernandez. The Morro Castle line is named in honor of the Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro in Havana Bay, Cuba which was built in 1589. The Morro Castle features a Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers. You'll get a creamy medium bodied experience with flavors of wood, nuts, earth with hints of spice on the finish. I chose this as today's cigar as I was recently gifted it by a great BOTL on the cigar.com forum.
One of my favorite smokes when I feel like taking a break from the maduros.
