Today brings us the Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic 1979 in a 5x50 vitola. Don Pepin Garcia is revered as one of the top rollers and blenders in the cigar industry. The DPG Cuban Classic is the first blend that was by DPG in his factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. The Cuban Classic has a Corojo wrapper and is a Nicaraguan Puro with all of it's tobaccos hailing from it's home country. The Cuban Classic has flavor notes of earth, pepper, spice, coffee and a slight sweetness on the finish to help round it out and bring it together. I chose this to be today's cigar as I only have 1 of it left and I don't see it lasting through the day.
