Nov 17th 2011 - Cigar Brand Shirts

Day 5 of gift guide week brings us to shirts and a departure of my normal 1 photo. Today is extra special with 4 pics. Featured today is the Gurkha Evil white long sleeve shirt and the Room 101 Cigars black short sleeve shirt. Both of them are just awesome looking shirts. Cigar shirts are great ways of supporting your favorite brands even when you aren't smoking a cigar. Cigar shirts are unique which means that even though you're giving/getting clothes for Christmas, birthday, etc that the normal "Oh look I got clothes" stigma isn't there. Almost all enthusiast I know would be extremely pleased to receive apparel of their favorite companies.

Nov 15 2011 - Room 101 Cigar Scissor Cutter

Day 3 of gift guide week brings us the Room 101 Cigar scissor cutter. This is in my opinion the baddest looking cutter made. These things not only look great but they slice through the cap with ease. Designed by Matt Booth the man behind Room 101 for his current cigar tour Cigarmageddon. Styled with brass knuckles in mind this cutter impresses even non cigar smokers. Nov 14th 2011 - 3 Finger Travel Case

Day 2 of gift guide brings us one of my favorite accessories that I have. Today I'd like to feature a 3 finger cigar travel case. This is a great case to throw some smokes in when heading to work, the bar, wherever. It's small enough to fit in your pocket but will still hold cigars up to a 52 ring gauge with no problems. I've found if you only put 2 in you can get 2 56 ring gauge cigars in them. There are hard shell and soft like the one pictured below. Either way your smokes will protected and kept fresh for hours. Nov 11th 2011 - Room 101 Connecticut

Today's cigar is the Room 101 Connecticut Robusto in a 5x50 vitola. The Room 101 Connecticut is another of the 2011 releases for Room 101. With a Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Corojo binder and fillers from the Dominican and Honduras this isn't your average Connecticut. To quote the man behind it all "It's a Connecticut with a kick". With flavors of pepper, earth and a creamy sweetness that brings you the best of Connecticut wrappers without slacking on the flavor and body. I chose this to be today's cigar to stick with the same theme as yesterday. Today is Veterans Day. Matt Booth, the man behind Room 101, is a Veteran of the Marine Corps. I saw no better stick to celebrate today with than one made by a Veteran. Take a moment out of your day today to thank a veteran and any active or reserve service member for their service. If it wasn't for the sacrifices of them America wouldn't be what it is today. Also take a min to show your thanks for those who aren't here to celebrate Veterans Day with us, the ones who have passed on and the ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Nov 10th 2011 - Room 101 One Shot, One Kill

Today's cigar is the Room 101 One Shot, One Kill Perfecto pre-release sampler. The One Shot, One Kill is going to be the fifth line release for Room 101. Reviews on the pre-release sampler say that it is medium-full bodied with notes of leather, earth, nuts, citrus and allspice which come together beautifully and make this cigar very special. I chose this to be today's cigar because today is the 236th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. The Marine Corps has long been known as the fiercest fighting force in the world. One Shot, One Kill is a motto that Marines live by. My good friend and fellow Marine Matt Booth, the man behind Room 101, served as an 0331 Infantry Machine Gunner in the Marine Corps. I see no better way to celebrate the birthday of the Marine Corps than with a cigar made by a Marine. I also would like to ask everyone to take a moment out of your day and take a moment of silence or say a prayer for all the Marines who over the last 236 years have given their lives in service of the Corps and Country that they love so much. Happy birthday and Semper Fi brothers!

Oct 22nd 2011 - Room 101 Namakubi

Apologies for the late post. Today's cigar is the Room 101 Namakubi Papi Chulo in a 4x42 vitola. The Namakubi is a special blend Matt Booth is producing in his collaboration with Camacho. The Namakubi sports a Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a Honduran binder while featuring Honduran and Dominican fillers. The Namakubi features notes of espresso, wood and leather throughout with a slightly sweet finish to round out it's balanced complexity. I chose this to be today's cigar for two reason. One my good buddy Stephen, from WBFiller, hooked me up with this cigar to photograph and secondly tomorrow I will have the pleasure of meeting and having a cigar with Matt Booth, the man behind Room 101.
